The Concept
The Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre (BBIC) was established in 1987 as a private company (limited by guarantee), with a mission to assist in the economic regeneration of the Barnsley Borough.
At BBIC we believe that economic growth flows from business
competitiveness, and that competitiveness is achieved through innovation
and the development and application of appropriate technologies. Our aim
is to stimulate, assist, promote and encourage the development of innovative
technology and knowledge based businesses in order to generate new employment
